The number of posts is tentative and may be changed depending upon administrative requirements and the availability of vacancies.
Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India.
- Knowledge of Computer Operation is required.
- Candidates must have a typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) on computer.

Salary Details
- Pay Level: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix
- Basic Pay: ₹35,400
- Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
The post carries the prescribed allowances and benefits applicable to employees of the Supreme Court of India.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age will be calculated as on 01 September 2026.
- Upper age relaxation is applicable to eligible categories as per Government of India rules.
- SC/ST candidates: relaxation as per rules.
- OBC candidates: relaxation as per rules.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: relaxation as per rules.
- Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories will receive relaxation as prescribed.

The selection process for Junior Court Assistant consists of the following stages:

- Typing Speed Test on Computer
- Written Test (Descriptive)
- Interview

- Objective Type Test: 100 marks
- Typing Speed Test: 50 marks
- Written Test (Descriptive): 100 marks
- Interview: 25 marks
Objective Type Test:
- General English – 20 questions
- General Knowledge – 20 questions
- General Aptitude – 20 questions
- General Computer Knowledge – 20 questions
- General Knowledge relating to the Constitution of India – 10 questions
- General Knowledge relating to the Supreme Court of India – 10 questions
- Total: 100 marks
Typing Speed Test:
- Typing Speed Test on Computer
- English Language
- Minimum typing speed: 35 w.p.m.
- Duration: 10 minutes
- Maximum marks: 50
- Minimum qualifying marks: 25
Written Test (Descriptive):
- English Language
- Duration: 2 hours
- Maximum marks: 100
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50
Interview:
- Maximum marks: 25
- Minimum qualifying marks: 13
Negative Marking
- There will be 0.25 marks negative marking for each incorrect answer in the Objective Type Test.
