Qualification
PGT Chemistry:
- Integrated Post Graduate Course from an NCTE-recognized institution/university in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component, OR
- Master’s Degree from a recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject.
- B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks, OR Three-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
- Proficiency to teach in English medium.
TGT English / Hindi / Social Science:
- Four-year Integrated Degree Course from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) and aggregate, including B.Ed. component, OR
- Bachelor/Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/subject combination and aggregate.
- B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks, OR Three-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
- Pass in CTET Paper-II conducted by CBSE or TET conducted by the appropriate Government as per NCTE guidelines.
- Competency to teach through English/Hindi medium as applicable to the subject.
Note: TGT English candidates must have studied English as an Elective/Main subject for at least three years/6 semesters in graduation or the four-year integrated degree course.
For TGT Social Science, candidates must meet the prescribed subject-combination requirements involving History, Geography, Economics and Political Science as specified in the notification.
General Employee:
- Should have passed Matriculation or equivalent.
- Multi-skilled candidates with experience will be preferred.
Salary Details
PGT Chemistry: Entry Pay Rs. 47,600/- in Level 8 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
TGT English / Hindi / Social Science: Entry Pay Rs. 44,900/- in Level 7 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
General Employee: Entry Pay Rs. 18,000/- in Level 1 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Age Limit
PGT Chemistry: 21 to 40 years as on 21st August 2026.
TGT English / Hindi / Social Science: 21 to 35 years as on 21st August 2026.
General Employee: 18 to 50 years as on 21st August 2026.
Application Fee
General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 500/-
SC / ST Candidates: Rs. 350/-
The application fee must be paid through a non-refundable Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Principal Sainik School Kodagu”, payable at Kushalnagar/Kudige Branch, Karnataka State.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based on performance in the following stages, as applicable:
- Written Examination
- Class Demonstration / Skill Test
- Practical Test
- Interview
Only shortlisted candidates who fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria and possess the essential qualifications will be called for the applicable selection tests. Skill Test and Interview, wherever applicable, will be conducted after the Written Examination.

Eligible candidates should download the prescribed application format from the Recruitment section of the official Sainik School Kodagu website.
Applicants must fill out the application form and send it along with self-attested copies of educational, experience and other required certificates. A recent passport-size photograph must also be affixed to the application form.
Candidates should send the completed application through Registered Post / Speed Post only to the Principal, Sainik School Kodagu.
Important: Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted.
The name of the post applied for must be clearly written in capital letters on the top of the application envelope.
