PFRDA Recruitment 2026: The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has released the recruitment notification for Officer Grade ‘A’ (Assistant Manager) posts. A total of 30 vacancies are available under General, Research, Actuary and Official Language (Rajbhasha) streams. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official PFRDA website.

Qualification Details
1. General Stream – 25 Posts
- Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma of minimum two years duration in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or
- ACA / FCA from ICAI; or
- ACS / FCS from ICSI; or
- ACMA / FCMA from ICMAI; or
- CFA from CFA Institute.
2. Research Stream – 02 Posts
- Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma of minimum two years duration in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Financial Economics, Mathematical Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics or Business Analytics; or
- Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma of minimum two years duration in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance or Agri. Business Finance; or
- Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma of minimum two years duration in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistics & Informatics, Applied Statistics & Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Big Data Analytics; or
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics with one year Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics or related subjects from a recognized University/Institute.
3. Actuary Stream – 02 Posts
- Graduation from a recognized University/Institute.
- Candidate must have passed or obtained exemption in all Seven (07) Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) Examination.
4. Official Language (Rajbhasha) Stream – 01 Post
- Master’s Degree in Hindi / Hindi Translation with English as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level; or
- Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / English / Economics / Commerce with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level; or
- Master’s Degree in both English and Hindi / Hindi Translation from a recognized University/Institute.
Candidates should also be computer literate and conversant with MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Salary Details
- Pay Scale: ₹62,500 – ₹1,26,100
- Probation: 2 Years
- Approximate Gross Emoluments: ₹2,05,000 per month at the minimum of the pay scale, including applicable allowances and PFRDA’s contribution towards NPS.

The application fee is non-refundable. Candidates applying for more than one stream must submit a separate online application and pay the applicable fee for each stream.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
- Phase I: Online Screening Examination
- Phase II: Online Examination
- Phase III: Interview
Phase I Examination:
- Two papers of 100 marks each.
- Paper 1 is common to all streams and covers English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning and General Awareness including Financial Sector questions.
- Paper 2 contains stream-specific subjects.
- There is negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer in Phase I.
- Separate paper-wise and aggregate cut-offs will apply.
- Phase I marks will be used only for shortlisting for Phase II and will not be counted for final selection.
Phase II Examination:
- Two papers of 100 marks each.
- Paper 1 is an English descriptive test to assess drafting skills.
- Paper 2 contains stream-specific subjects.
- There is negative marking of 1/4th mark for Paper 2.
- Candidates will have to secure the required paper-wise and aggregate cut-offs.
- Candidates equal to five times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the interview.
Phase III – Interview:
- Only candidates shortlisted after Phase II will be called for the interview.
- The interview can be opted for in Hindi or English.
- Phase II marks will carry 85% weightage.
- Phase III interview marks will carry 15% weightage.
- Final selection will be based on the combined marks of Phase II and Phase III.

- Select the applicable stream and examination centre preferences.
- Pay the applicable application fee online.
- Submit the application before the closing date.
- Download and retain the system-generated application form, registration number and password for future reference.

Important Instructions
- Candidates can apply for a maximum of 2 streams for which they are eligible.
- A separate online application must be submitted for each stream.
- If a candidate submits more than one application for the same stream, only the last valid application will be considered.
- If a candidate applies for more than two streams, only the last application will be considered and other applications will be rejected.
- Once the application is finally submitted, no changes or corrections will be allowed.
- Candidates should maintain an active personal mobile number and email ID throughout the recruitment process.
- Candidates should carefully verify all details before submitting the application.
- Incomplete applications or unsuccessful fee payments will not be considered valid.
- Candidates should keep the registration number and password safely for future use.
- Selected candidates may be posted at PFRDA offices in New Delhi or Mumbai and may also be required to serve anywhere in India according to the Authority’s requirements.
Examination Centres
The notification provides examination centres across different zones in India. Candidates can provide preferences for up to three centres for Phase I and one centre for Phase II while submitting the online application.
- South Zone Centres include: Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam, Ernakulam, Madurai, Coimbatore and Vijayawada/Guntur.
- The final examination centre will be mentioned in the candidate’s call letter.
- PFRDA reserves the right to change the examination centre.
- No request for change of examination centre will be entertained.
Pre-Examination Training
PFRDA will arrange free online pre-examination training for eligible SC, ST, PwBD and OBC (NCL) candidates who wish to avail of the facility. Candidates have to apply separately as per the procedure specified in the notification.
