The recruitment includes a special recruitment drive for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines and recruitment for Assistant Engineers in the Chemical discipline.
Qualification
Candidates must possess valid GATE 2026 marks in the corresponding GATE paper and must have the required engineering qualification.
Mechanical: B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
Electrical: B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Chemical: B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Petrochemical Engineering or Petrochemical Technology.
Candidates applying against UR, EWS and OBC (NCL) posts should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the essential qualification. Candidates applying against posts reserved for SC/ST and PwBD categories should have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Salary Details
Grade: E2
Starting Basic Pay: ₹50,000/-
Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000/-
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for DA on IDA pattern, HRA/Township Accommodation, Perks & Allowances, Performance Related Pay and other benefits as per company rules.
Age Limit
Maximum Age: 27 years
The cut-off date for determining the maximum permissible age is 19th September 2026.
Age Relaxation:
OBC (NCL) – 3 years
SC/ST – 5 years
PwBD candidates with minimum 40% disability – 10 years
Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen Candidates: No Fee
The application fee of ₹118/- includes ₹100 application fee and ₹18 GST. The application fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted in the following stages:
1. Shortlisting based on GATE 2026 Marks
2. Group Discussion (GD)
3. Personal Interview (PI)
Initial shortlisting will be based on marks obtained in GATE 2026. Marks from previous or other GATE examinations will not be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Service Bond
Selected candidates appointed as Assistant Engineers will have to execute a service bond to serve MRPL for a minimum period of three years from the date of joining, including the training-cum-probation period.

EWS / OBC (NCL) / SC / ST / PwBD Candidates: ₹50,000/-

Step 1: Visit the MRPL Careers website and select Advertisement No. 94/2026 – Recruitment of Assistant Engineers in E2 Grade through GATE 2026.
Step 2: Click on the online registration link and generate the Login ID and Password.
Step 3: Sign in and enter the required personal, educational and other details.
Step 4: Pay the applicable application fee, if required.
Step 5: Upload the photograph, signature, GATE 2026 Score Card and other required documents.
Step 6: Submit the application form and keep a PDF copy of the final application for future reference.
The application must be submitted through the MRPL online portal only. Candidates do not have to send a printed copy of the application to MRPL.
