Qualification
Assistant Controller:
- Must be a holder of a Master’s Degree in Commerce (M.Com.) or M.B.A. (Finance) or M.B.A. (Financial Management) or M.B.A. (Financial Analysis) or any other Master’s Degree notified by the University Grants Commission with Finance as one of the subjects.
- The degree must be obtained from a University established by law in India.
- Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Associate Members of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India are also eligible as prescribed in the notification.
Audit Officer:
- Candidates must possess the prescribed Master’s Degree in Commerce/Finance or the applicable professional qualification mentioned in the official notification.
- Eligible professional qualifications include the qualifications prescribed by KPSC for the post, including the relevant CA/Cost Accountant qualifications.

Salary Details
- Assistant Controller: Rs. 83,700/- to Rs. 1,55,200/- per month
- Audit Officer: Rs. 69,250/- to Rs. 1,34,200/- per month
Note: The above amounts represent the prescribed pay scale. Additional allowances and deductions will be applicable as per Karnataka Government rules.
Age Limit
Candidates must satisfy the age conditions prescribed in the KPSC notification.
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: As per category-wise rules mentioned in the notification
- Age relaxation is applicable to eligible categories as per Karnataka Government rules.

Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted through the competitive examination prescribed by the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

Preliminary Examination:
- The Preliminary Examination carries a total of 450 marks.
- The Preliminary Examination is used for shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination.
Main Examination:
- The Main Examination consists of the papers prescribed by KPSC.
- The total marks for the Main Examination are 2,100 marks.
- Kannada and English language papers are qualifying in nature as prescribed in the notification.
