Eligible candidates can apply online through the NAPS/NATS portals and must also submit the required Microsoft Form before the last date.

Qualification
Trade Apprentice – Fitter: Matriculation with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Fitter trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Trade Apprentice – Electrician: Matriculation with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Electrician trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Trade Apprentice – Electronics Mechanic: Matriculation with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Electronics Mechanic trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Trade Apprentice – Instrument Mechanic: Matriculation with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Instrument Mechanic trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Trade Apprentice – Machinist: Matriculation with regular full-time 2-year ITI in Machinist trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Technician Apprentice: 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics or Electronics. Candidates must have at least 50% marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.
Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time Graduate Degree in any discipline such as BBA, BA, B.Com or B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.
Data Entry Operator – Fresher: Class 12th pass and below graduate level.
Data Entry Operator – Skill Certificate Holders: Class 12th pass and below graduate level along with a Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or another authority recognized by the Central Government.
For all disciplines, the qualification must be obtained through a recognized University/Institute as a full-time regular course. Part-time, correspondence or distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.
Stipend Details
The stipend will be paid as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprentices Rules, 1992 and applicable amendments/guidelines.
In addition to the statutory stipend, apprentices will receive Rs. 2,500/- per month towards miscellaneous expenses from Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, a portion of the stipend will be disbursed directly into the apprentice’s bank account through the DBT system by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT).
Trade Apprentices under NAPS will receive the stipend in full from IOCL, subject to applicable government and apprenticeship scheme guidelines.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 24 years as on 31st August 2026
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST – 5 years
- OBC-NCL – 3 years
- PwBD – up to 10 years
- PwBD SC/ST – up to 15 years
- PwBD OBC-NCL – up to 13 years
Application Fee
The notification does not mention any application fee for applying to the apprenticeship posts.
Selection Process
There will be no Written Test or Interview.
The selection will be based on a merit list prepared according to the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification for the respective discipline.
If two candidates have the same percentage of marks, the candidate who is older in age will be considered first. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with a higher percentage of marks in Matriculation will be considered.
Preference will be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo Document Verification and Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test.
Apprenticeship Training Period
Training Period: 12 Months
Completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee regular employment in Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

After registration, candidates must log in and apply for the apprenticeship opportunity of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (MD) – Northern Region using the respective Establishment ID.

After applying through the NAPS/NATS portal, candidates must also submit their details, preferred State and three preferred locations through the prescribed Microsoft Form.
Candidates must submit only one response through the Microsoft Form. Location preference will be considered, but the actual posting will depend on the requirements of the Corporation.

- Candidate must have a valid and active NAPS/NATS Apprentice Registration or Enrolment Number.
- NAPS/NATS profile must be completely updated with correct personal, educational and category details.
- Candidate must have an active email ID and mobile number.
- Candidate must have a PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.
- Candidate must have an active bank account in their own name.
- The bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and enabled for DBT.
- APAAR ID and e-KYC details must be correctly updated/verified on the NATS portal where applicable.
