Educational Qualification

Graduate Engineer – Grade A:

Candidates should possess a full-time regular B.E./B.Tech or equivalent qualification in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution.

Eligible engineering disciplines include Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering.

Officer (Marketing) – Grade A:

Candidates should possess a full-time regular MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration equivalent to MBA with specialization in Marketing Management.

Law Officer – Grade A:

Candidates should possess a Graduate Degree in any discipline along with an LLB degree or a 5-year Integrated LLB degree recognised by the Bar Council of India.

Assistant Quality Control Officer – Grade A0:

Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or eligible branches of Chemistry such as Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.

Diploma Engineer – Grade E0:

Candidates should possess a three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 1st July 2026.

Graduate Engineer: Maximum 26 Years

Diploma Engineer: Maximum 26 Years

Officer (Marketing): Maximum 28 Years

Law Officer: Maximum 30 Years

Assistant Quality Control Officer: Maximum 30 Years

Age relaxation will be applicable to eligible reserved category candidates as per Government of India rules and the conditions mentioned in the notification.

Work Experience

Law Officer: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification professional experience is required as prescribed in the notification.

Assistant Quality Control Officer: Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Testing, R&D or Quality Control in eligible petroleum, petrochemical, polymer, fertilizer or NABL-accredited laboratory environments is required.

Salary Details

Grade A: ₹50,000/- to ₹1,60,000/- per month

Approximate CTC: ₹18.4 Lakhs per annum

Grade A0: ₹40,000/- to ₹1,40,000/- per month

Approximate CTC: ₹14.8 Lakhs per annum

Grade E0: ₹30,000/- to ₹1,20,000/- per month

Approximate CTC: ₹11.1 Lakhs per annum

Selected candidates will also be eligible for DA and other benefits such as HRA/Subsidised Housing Accommodation, Medical Facilities, Gratuity, Provident Fund, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Leave Encashment, LTC/LFA and Performance Related Pay as per IndianOil rules.

Application Fee

General/EWS/OBC(NCL) Candidates: ₹1,000/- + GST as applicable

SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: No Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable. Payment can be made through the available online payment methods including Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking and UPI.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Group Task (GT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

Computer Based Test

The CBT will consist of objective-type questions.

Section I: General Aptitude – Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability in English.

Section II: Domain Knowledge related to the respective post.

Each question carries one mark and negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for every incorrect answer.

Final Selection

CBT: 85% Weightage

GD & GT: 5% Weightage

Personal Interview: 10% Weightage

Candidates must secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks at each stage and satisfy all eligibility requirements for final selection.
