The vacancies are for the Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade), General Central Services, Group-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in Pay Level-2.
Qualification
Applicants must fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions for the Staff Car Driver post.
- Must have passed 10th Standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
- Must possess a valid Driving Licence for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV).
- Must have knowledge of Motor Mechanism and should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in driving Light and Heavy Motor Vehicles.
Desirable: Three years of service as a Home Guard or Civil Volunteer.
Eligibility
This recruitment is primarily for serving eligible Government employees through deputation/absorption. Eligible Department of Posts employees in the prescribed Group-C posts will be considered first, failing which eligible employees from other Central Government Ministries may be considered.
Armed Forces personnel who are due to retire or are to be transferred to reserve within one year and who possess the required qualifications and experience may also be considered for deputation/re-employment.
Salary Details
Salary: Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200/-
The post carries Pay Level-2 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC, along with admissible allowances.
Age Limit
Maximum Age Limit: 56 Years
The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation/absorption is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on the prescribed selection procedure, including:
- Driving Test
- Trade Test
The driving test and trade test will be conducted as per the prescribed pattern/syllabus of the Department of Posts.
