Gujarat Anganwadi Recruitment 2026: The Women and Child Development Department, Gujarat has announced recruitment for 6,843 Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper vacancies across various districts of Gujarat. Eligible local women candidates can apply online through the Gujarat e-HRMS portal before the last date.

The vacancies are available across various districts and Anganwadi centres in Gujarat. The recruitment is for vacant and likely-to-become-vacant honorary positions under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme.

Qualification

Anganwadi Worker:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12.
• Alternatively, candidates who have passed Class 10 with an AICTE-recognised diploma course of at least two years can apply.
• Women possessing higher educational qualifications may also apply.

Anganwadi Helper:

• Candidates must have passed Class 10.

Local Residence Requirement

• The applicant must be an Indian woman citizen.
• The candidate must have been a local resident for at least one year.
• For a rural Anganwadi centre, the candidate must be a resident of the revenue village in which the Anganwadi centre is situated.
• The prescribed residence certificate must be issued by the concerned Mamlatdar.
• The residence certificate should not be older than six months from the advertisement date.
• The candidate must select the relevant Anganwadi centre while submitting the online application.

Salary Details

• Anganwadi Worker: ₹10,000 per month
• Anganwadi Helper: ₹5,500 per month

These are honorary-service positions, and selected candidates will receive the prescribed monthly honorarium for the respective post.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years
• The candidate must have completed 18 years of age and must not have crossed the applicable maximum age on the final date for submitting the application.
• Serving Anganwadi Helper applying for Anganwadi Worker: Maximum age up to 43 years as per applicable rules.

Selection Process

• Selection will be made through a merit list.
• The merit list will be prepared according to the applicable recruitment rules.
• Educational qualifications and marks will be considered for preparing the merit list.
• A separate online merit list will be prepared for each Anganwadi centre.
• Existing Anganwadi Helpers applying for Anganwadi Worker posts may receive preference according to the applicable Women and Child Development Department rules.
