DGQA Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 32 Technician Skilled and Semi-Skilled Vacancies in Ministry of Defence

The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for 32 Technician (Skilled) and Technician (Semi-Skilled) vacancies. Educational Qualification

• Must possess a certificate in the relevant trade or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• The notification lists trades including Book Binder, Carpenter, Computer Hardware and Networking, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Cutting and Sewing, Electrician, Fitter, Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance, Instrument Mechanic, Painter, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Mechanic, Tool and Die Maker, and other specified trades.
• Must possess the experience prescribed for the relevant trade, where applicable.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix.

• Technician (Semi-Skilled): Pay Level 1 – Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900.
• Technician (Skilled): Pay Level 2 – Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200.

Selected candidates will also be entitled to applicable benefits and allowances under Central Government rules.

The notification states that the selected candidates will initially be appointed on probation for two years.

Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years. The upper age limit varies according to category and applicable service conditions.

• UR/EWS: 27 years
• OBC: 30 years
• SC/ST: 32 years
• Ex-Servicemen and eligible departmental candidates: Age relaxation as specified in the official notification.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Relaxation as per relevant Department of Personnel and Training guidelines.

The examination will be conducted in English and Hindi, except for the English Language and Comprehension section.

The Trade Test will be qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared according to the applicable selection rules mentioned in the advertisement.
