The notification states that the total Local Bank Officer vacancies are 2,482, and candidates can apply for only one State. Merit lists will be prepared State-wise and category-wise.

Qualification

Applicants must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.

Preferred Certifications:

  • IC 38 from Insurance Institute of India
  • NISM Series V A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination
  • NISM Series XXI-A: Portfolio Management Services (PMS) Distributors Certification Examination
  • NISM Series XIII: Common Derivatives Certification Examination

Candidates must also be proficient in the local language of the State for which they are applying, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.

Experience in the Clerical cadre will not be considered for determining eligibility.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years

The age will be calculated as on 1st August 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules:

  • SC/ST: 5 Years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
  • PwBD: 10 to 15 Years depending on category
  • Eligible Ex-Servicemen: 5 to 10 Years depending on category

Salary Details

Pay Scale: Rs. 48,480/- to Rs. 85,920/-

Selected candidates will also receive applicable allowances, benefits, perquisites and other facilities as per Bank of Baroda policies and the applicable banking industry settlement.

One advance increment will be granted to candidates having one year or more of experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

Application Fee

General / EWS / OBC Candidates: Rs. 850/- + Payment Gateway Charges

SC / ST / PwBD / ESM/DESM / Women Candidates: Rs. 175/- + Payment Gateway Charges

Selection Process

The selection process may consist of:

  • Online Test
  • Psychometric Test, if conducted
  • Group Discussion, if conducted
  • Personal Interview
  • Local Language Proficiency Test

Candidates qualifying in the Online Examination may be shortlisted for further selection stages. The Bank reserves the right to modify the selection process, including conducting multiple-choice/descriptive tests, psychometric tests, Group Discussion, interviews or other assessment methods.

Online Examination

  • English Language: 30 Questions – 30 Marks – 30 Minutes
  • Banking Knowledge: 30 Questions – 30 Marks – 30 Minutes
  • General / Economic Awareness: 30 Questions – 30 Marks – 30 Minutes
  • Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions – 30 Marks – 30 Minutes

Total: 120 Questions – 120 Marks – 120 Minutes

The English Language test is qualifying in nature and its marks will not be considered for the final merit list. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Local Language Proficiency Test

Shortlisted candidates must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test for the State they have applied for. Candidates who studied the specified local language as a subject in 10th or 12th standard and produce the relevant certificate/marksheet will not be required to take the language test.

Probation Period

Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 12 months of active service from the date of joining the Bank.

Service Bond

Selected candidates must execute a service bond and serve the Bank for a minimum period of 3 years after joining. If they leave before completing the required period, they will be liable to pay an amount equivalent to three months’ gross salary, subject to a maximum of Rs. 2 Lakhs, as per the notification.
