Qualification
Civilian Catering Instructor:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Diploma or Certificate in Catering from a recognised institution.
- One year of working experience in catering as an instructor is desirable.
Cook:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Knowledge of Indian cooking and proficiency in the trade.
- One year experience in the trade is desirable.
MTS (Chowkidar):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
Civilian Motor Driver (OG):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Valid driving licence for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
- At least 2 years of experience in driving motor vehicles.
Cleaner:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
Tradesman Mate (Labour):
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Should be proficient in the trade.
Fire Engine Driver:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Should be proficient in trade work.
- At least 3 years of experience in driving heavy vehicles.
- Valid driving licence is required.
- Fireman course certification from a reputed institution is preferable.
Fireman:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of fire extinguishers, hose fittings, fire appliances, fire engines, trailers, pumps and foam branches.
- Knowledge of first-aid fire-fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
- Knowledge of elementary fire-fighting principles and methods.
- Ability to perform foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and duties assigned to fire crew members.
Leading Fireman:
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of fire extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment.
- Should be capable of training, guiding and controlling the working of B crane.
- Should be capable of taking independent charge of a shift.

Age Limit
Civilian Catering Instructor, Cook, MTS (Chowkidar), Cleaner, Tradesman Mate (Labour), Fire Engine Driver, Fireman and Leading Fireman: 18 to 25 years.
Civilian Motor Driver: 18 to 27 years.
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible Government Servants, Ex-Servicemen, SC/ST, OBC, Persons with Disability and departmental candidates as per Government rules mentioned in the notification.
The crucial date for determining the age limit is the last date for receipt of applications.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of the following stages, wherever applicable:
- Skill / Trade Test
- Physical Test
- Practical Test
- Written Examination
Only candidates who qualify in the applicable Skill/Physical/Practical Tests will be eligible for the Written Examination. Final selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination, subject to qualifying in the applicable Skill/Physical/Practical Tests.
Written Examination
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 Questions / 25 Marks
- General Awareness – 50 Questions / 50 Marks
- General English – 50 Questions / 50 Marks
- Numerical Aptitude – 25 Questions / 25 Marks
Total: 150 Questions / 150 Marks
Duration: 2 Hours
The question paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi, except for the English Language section. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Physical Standards
For Fire Engine Driver, Fireman and Leading Fireman, the notification prescribes physical fitness and endurance requirements, including height, chest, weight and specified endurance tests.
For Fire Engine Driver, the prescribed standards include a minimum height of 165 cm, chest measurement of 81.5 cm unexpanded and 85 cm expanded, and minimum weight of 50 kg, subject to the concessions mentioned in the notification.
