Qualification

M-1 – Marketing – Market Analyst:

• B.E./B.Tech/Graduate with MBA (Marketing).
• Desirable: M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D. or relevant qualifications/certifications in Market Research, Business Analytics or related fields.
• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in market research, business analytics or strategic planning, preferably in the steel/manufacturing sector.

M-2 – Business Development of Structural Hollow Sections:

• B.E./B.Tech, preferably Mechanical/Civil.
• MBA in Marketing is desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Structural Steel, Steel Tubes, Hollow Sections, Long Products, Building Materials, Industrial Sales, Project Sales or Channel Sales.

M-3 – Business Development of Coated Steel Products:

• B.E./B.Tech, preferably Mechanical/Metallurgy.
• MBA in Marketing is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in Coated Steel, Galvanized/Galvalume Products, Colour Coated Sheets, Flat Products, Building Materials, Industrial Sales, Project Sales or Channel Sales.

M-4 – Business Development of Fabricated Steel Structures:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering is preferred.
• MBA in Sales & Marketing is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in sales and business development, particularly in structural steel fabrication, PEB, heavy engineering structures or EPC-facing project sales.

C-1 – SAP Functional Consultant:

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or related engineering discipline.
• SAP Certification in the relevant module (SD) is desirable.
• M.E./M.Tech or equivalent professional qualification/certification is desirable.
• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience with at least 2 SAP implementation projects in the SD module, including at least one SAP India version implementation.

C-2 – Full Stack Developer:

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
• M.E./M.Tech or relevant certifications in cloud computing or software engineering are desirable.
• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in full-stack application development with expertise across front-end and back-end technologies.

C-3 – SAP Technical Consultant:

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
• SAP Technical Certification such as ABAP/Basis/NetWeaver is desirable.
• M.E./M.Tech or professional certifications in SAP are desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience with at least 1 SAP implementation project.

F-1 – GST & Tax Planning:

• CA/CMA.
• In-depth knowledge of GST laws, Input Tax Credit (ITC) provisions and tax planning strategies is desirable.
• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in GST compliance, tax planning and indirect tax management in a large organization.

F-2 – Receivables & Working Capital Management:

• CA/CMA.
• Knowledge of ERP-based receivables management, credit risk management and working capital financing tools is desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in credit management, receivables management or working capital management in a large corporate.

D-1 – Statutory Compliance under New Labour Codes:

• Graduate with MBA in PM & IR.
• Specialisation in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations is desirable.
• Working knowledge of MoL&E Shram Suvidha Portal is desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in statutory Industrial Relations requirements.
• Preference is given to candidates having knowledge of workforce analytics or digitisation of processes, including dashboard development, data integration and workflow automation.

E-1 – Environment Management Division:

• B.E./B.Tech.
• Post Graduate qualification in Environment Management is desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in decarbonisation, climate change, sustainability, CO₂ emission accounting and GHG assessment.
• Experience in the steel industry and familiarity with World Steel Association, Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) and other decarbonisation mechanisms are preferred.
• Knowledge of ESG, sustainability and climate-related reporting, including BRSR, is an added advantage.

The notification states that essential qualifications should be regular/full-time qualifications from institutions recognised by the relevant authorities such as UGC, AICTE, ICAI or ICMAI, as applicable. Relevant experience must be from a PSU, Government organisation, Public Limited Company, JV of PSUs or a private firm with a valid CIN.

Salary Details

• Young Professional – YP-1: ₹70,000 per month
• Young Professional – YP-2: ₹1,00,000 per month
• Young Professional – YP-3: ₹1,40,000 per month

An annual increment of 4% / 7% / 10% of the monthly consolidated retainership fee is applicable based on performance during the year.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 23 years
• M-1 – YP-3: Maximum 42 years
• YP-1 posts: Maximum 35 years
• YP-2 posts: Maximum 38 years
• Age, qualification and post-qualification experience will be reckoned as on 15 October 2026.

Application Fee

• Young Professionals – YP-1, YP-2 & YP-3: ₹500/-
• Payment is to be made through online mode.
• Applicable payment/bank charges are to be borne by the candidate.
• Fees once paid are not refundable.

Selection Process

The applications received by the closing date will first be scrutinized for eligibility.

• Shortlisting based on eligibility and, where required, a prescribed test.
• Computer-Based Test / Aptitude / General Management / Psychometric Test or another standard test may be conducted if applications exceed five times the number of vacancies for an engagement.
• Shortlisted candidates may be called for Personal Interaction / Interview.
• Where applications are less than five times the requirement, candidates may be called directly for personal interview.
• Selected candidates will be required to join as per the offer of engagement.

Tenure of Engagement

• The initial engagement is for a period of up to 3 years from the date of joining.
• The engagement may be extended for up to an additional 2 years, one year at a time.
• The maximum total engagement period is 5 years.
• Extension is subject to eligibility, satisfactory performance and the discretion of SAIL.
• The engagement is purely temporary and is on a Contract for Service basis.
• The engagement does not create any right for regular appointment.

Other Benefits

• Outstation Young Professionals may be provided company accommodation subject to availability.
• No HRA will be payable.
• During the initial three months, outstation Young Professionals may be allowed to stay at SAIL Guest House/Transit House subject to availability and applicable charges.
• Mobile phone/broadband expenses are reimbursed up to the prescribed monthly limits.
• Medical and insurance-related reimbursements are available as specified in the notification.
