Canara Bank Recruitment 2026: Canara Bank has announced the engagement of 3,500 Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27. Eligible Indian citizens with a graduation degree can apply online through the NATS Apprenticeship Portal and Canara Bank website. The online application process will be open from 1st October 2026 to 17th October 2026.

Qualification
- Candidates must possess a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Candidates must have passed their Graduation between 1st January 2023 and 1st September 2026, both dates inclusive.
- Candidates must fulfil the eligibility conditions as on 1st September 2026.
- Candidates who studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard and can produce the relevant mark sheet/certificate will not have to undergo the local language test.
- Candidates who do not have proof of studying the specified local language will have to qualify in the local language test during Document Verification.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Age will be calculated as on 1st September 2026.
- Candidates must have been born between 2nd September 1998 and 1st September 2006, both dates inclusive.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: Up to 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
Stipend Details
- Monthly Stipend: ₹16,650/-
- The stipend includes the Government of India subsidy, if applicable.
- Canara Bank will pay ₹10,500/- per month into the apprentice’s account.
- The Government share of ₹6,150/- will be credited directly to the apprentice’s bank account through DBT mode, as per applicable guidelines.
- No other allowances or benefits are applicable to apprentices.
Period of Apprenticeship Training
- Training Duration: 12 months
- Place of Training: Selected Canara Bank branches as per the prescribed course/curriculum.
- The selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices and will not be treated as regular employees of Canara Bank.
- Completion of the apprenticeship does not create any obligation on Canara Bank to offer regular employment.
- After successful completion of training, a NATS Joint Certification will be awarded.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: Nil
- All Other Candidates: ₹500/- including intimation charges
- The application fee/intimation charges are non-refundable.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a State-wise merit list prepared in descending order based on marks/percentage obtained in the 12th Standard (HSC/10+2)/Diploma examination.

The minimum qualifying marks are 60% in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2)/Diploma for general candidates and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. In case of candidates having the same percentage, age will be considered for ranking in the merit list.
Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates should not have previously undergone Apprenticeship Training with Canara Bank or any other organization under the Apprentices Act.
- Candidates who have undergone training or have job experience of one year or more after completing the educational qualification are not eligible.
- Selected candidates must be medically fit as per Canara Bank requirements.
- Candidates must enter into the Digital Apprenticeship Contract through the NATS portal.
- No Ex-servicemen/Disabled Ex-servicemen shall be engaged as apprentices under this notification.
How to Apply
- First, candidates must register on the NATS Apprenticeship Portal at nats.education.gov.in.
- The candidate’s NATS profile must be 100% complete.
- After obtaining the NATS enrollment number, visit the Canara Bank official website.
- Go to Careers → Recruitment → Engagement of Graduate Apprentices in Canara Bank under Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.
- Complete the online application form with the required details.
- Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the prescribed specifications.
- Pay the applicable application fee online.
- Submit the application before the last date.
- Take a printout of the final online application and keep it safely for future reference.
