Qualification

Deputy Secretary (General-Admin.): Master’s Degree in Language with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade along with seven years of relevant experience in posts such as Assistant Director, Assistant Secretary, Administrative Officer or Assistant Registrar in Pay Level 10 and above. Alternatively, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Public Administration with at least 55% marks and the prescribed experience is required. Experience in organizing literary and cultural activities is also required.

Assistant Editor: Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University in a language/literature recognized by the Akademi. Candidates should have good knowledge of English/Hindi and one or more Indian languages of the concerned region, five years of experience in copy editing literary and scholarly manuscripts and basic knowledge of computer applications.

Senior Library & Information Assistant: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution with the prescribed experience and knowledge of computer applications as mentioned in the notification.

Junior Translation Officer: Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant language/literature with the prescribed translation experience and knowledge of the required languages as mentioned in the official eligibility criteria.

Technical Assistant: Candidates should possess the prescribed technical/academic qualification relevant to the post along with the required experience and computer knowledge as mentioned in the notification.

Programme Assistant: Candidates should possess the prescribed Degree qualification with relevant experience in literary, cultural or programme-related activities and knowledge of computer applications.

Publication Assistant: Candidates should possess the prescribed Degree qualification and relevant experience in publication/book production work along with knowledge of computer applications.

Proof Reader Cum General Assistant: Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualification with relevant experience in proofreading/general office work and knowledge of computer applications.

Stenographer Gr. II: 10+2 from a recognized Board or Institution, net typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi and knowledge of computer applications. Graduation and knowledge of more than one Indian language are desirable.

Messenger Cum Rider: Candidates should possess the prescribed 10th/12th level qualification and meet the requirements specified for the post, including the ability to perform messenger/rider duties.

Van Driver: Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualification along with a valid driving licence and the required experience for driving light motor vehicles as mentioned in the notification.

Junior Clerk: Candidates should possess 10+2 from a recognized Board or Institution, net typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi and knowledge of computer applications. Graduation and knowledge of more than one Indian language are desirable.

Multi-Tasking Staff: 10th/10+2 from a recognized Board or Institution or ITI equivalent qualification. Candidates should have basic knowledge of computer applications. Knowledge of at least two languages, cycling and localities is desirable.

Age Limit

Maximum Age Limit: 50 years as on 21st September 2026.

The upper age limit relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules:

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
  • OBC (NCL) Candidates: 3 years relaxation
  • PwD Candidates – UR: 10 years relaxation
  • PwD Candidates – OBC (NCL): 13 years relaxation
  • PwD Candidates – SC/ST: 15 years relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government policy

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:
