Sainik School Ambikapur Recruitment 2026: Sainik School Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh has announced recruitment for 7 vacancies for various regular and contractual staff posts. Qualification

Laboratory Assistant (Biology): Essential qualification is Intermediate in Science or equivalent with Biology as a subject. Higher qualification in Biology and good communication skills are desirable.

PEM/PTI-cum-Matron: Candidates should have a four-year integrated course, Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, or Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks, as applicable. Alternatively, candidates may possess graduation from a recognized university and B.P.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution/university with at least 50% marks in graduation and B.P.Ed separately.

Desirable qualifications include representation at State or National level in recognized sports/games, working knowledge of English and Hindi/Bharatiya Bhasha, and experience of working in a school. Diploma from the National Institute of Sports is also desirable.

Band Master: Candidates should possess Potential Band Master/Band Major/Drum Major Course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi or equivalent Naval/Air Force Courses or equivalent qualification.

Music Teacher: Higher Secondary with a degree or diploma in Music from a recognized institution.

Experience in residential public schools and good communication skills are desirable.

Ward Boy: Intermediate or equivalent qualification and ability to converse in English. Two years of relevant experience, knowledge of computer applications and good communication skills are desirable.

Salary Details

• Laboratory Assistant: Level 4 of 7th CPC (Entry Scale)
• PEM/PTI-cum-Matron: Rs. 71,840/- per month
• Band Master/Music Teacher: Rs. 46,720/- per month
• Ward Boy: Rs. 28,800/- per month

For the regular Laboratory Assistant post, Transport Allowance, LTC, Contributory Pension as per NPS, subsidised schooling up to two children, rent-free accommodation and Medical Allowance are applicable as per the notification and relevant rules.

For contractual posts, the initial appointment will be for 11 months and may be extended up to a maximum period of three years based on performance review and school requirements. After completion of 11 months, one-month break every year will apply. Vacation pay is not applicable for contractual posts.

Age Limit

Laboratory Assistant: 21 to 35 years as on 1st October 2026.

PEM/PTI-cum-Matron, Band Master/Music Teacher and Ward Boy: 18 to 50 years as on 1st October 2026.

Application Fee

Regular Post: Rs. 500/- (Non-refundable)

Contractual Posts: Rs. 300/- (Non-refundable)

The fee must be remitted through RTGS/NEFT/Digital modes only in favour of Principal Sainik School Ambikapur, payable at Ambikapur. Applications received without the prescribed fee will be rejected.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of document verification and post-specific selection tests.

Laboratory Assistant, PEM/PTI-cum-Matron and Band Master/Music Teacher:

• Written Test – 100 Marks – 50% Weightage
• Class Demonstration – 100 Marks – 30% Weightage
• Interview – 100 Marks – 15% Weightage
• Higher Qualification and Experience – 5% Weightage

The written test will have General Knowledge, General English, Basic Mathematics and a subject test. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the selection committee to proceed to the next stage.

Ward Boy:

• Written Test – 50 Marks
• Skill/Proficiency Test – 50 Marks

The Ward Boy skill/proficiency test includes activities such as running/shuttle, games, setting of bed, knowledge of first aid, child psychology and relevant provisions such as POSCO Act, as specified in the notification.

Original certificates must be produced during document verification. Candidates who fail to produce the required original certificates may be rejected.

Eligible candidates should download the prescribed application form from the Sainik School Ambikapur website and complete it with the required details. Candidates must attach the relevant certificates/documents and proof of payment of the recruitment fee.

The completed application should reach the office of the Principal, Sainik School Ambikapur, Mendra Kalan, District Surguja, Chhattisgarh – 497001 on or before 11th September 2026.

Applications received after the last date will not be considered. The notification also states that applications sent through email may be considered subject to receipt of the prescribed registration fee on or before the last date.
