BMRCL Assistant Security Officer Recruitment 2026 – 50 Vacancies | Apply Online

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, has released a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Security Officers in its Operation and Maintenance Wing. A total of 50 vacancies are available on a contract basis. Serving or retired personnel from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Karnataka State Police Department, CAPF, CRPF, BSF, CISF and equivalent services who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply online. Candidates must also submit a signed hard copy of their application along with the required documents.

Qualification and Experience

Applications are invited from serving or retired personnel belonging to the following services:

• Indian Army
• Indian Navy
• Indian Air Force
• Karnataka State Police Department
• Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
• Border Security Force (BSF)
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
• Other allied equivalent services, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria

Required Rank or Experience:

• Serving or retired Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) or equivalent ranks from the Defence Services.
• Serving or retired Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) or equivalent ranks from the State Police Department.

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge of Kannada is mandatory.
• Candidates must provide documentary proof of age, qualifications and relevant service experience.
• Serving military personnel due to retire on or before 31 December 2026 may also apply.
• Internal BMRCL employees, including regular, contract and outsourced employees, are not eligible to apply.

Salary Details

• Below 60 Years of Age: ₹32,950 per month.
• Above 60 Years of Age: ₹30,000 per month.
• Grade: NE-3.
• Allowances: Applicable as per BMRCL company rules.

The above amounts are the consolidated monthly pay specified in the notification. Applicable allowances will be governed by the company’s rules.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 62 years.
• Age Calculation Date: 09 October 2026, the date of the notification.

Candidates must satisfy the age and other eligibility conditions specified in the official notification.

Contract Period

• For candidates below 60 years: Initial contract period of 3 years.
• For candidates above 60 years: Initial contract period of 1 year.

The contract may be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and BMRCL’s requirements. The contract may be terminated by either party by giving the applicable notice period specified in the notification: 3 months for candidates below 60 years and 1 month for candidates above 60 years.

Selection Process

The selection process for Assistant Security Officer consists of the following stages:

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Written Test
• Interview

Physical Fitness Test:

• Candidates must complete a 1.5 km run within the time prescribed for their age group, ranging from 10 minutes up to 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
• Candidates must bring a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Hospital.
• Only candidates who qualify in the Physical Fitness Test will be allowed to appear for the Written Test.

Written Test:

• Duration: 1 hour.
• Language: Kannada or English.
• Subjects: Essay Writing and General Knowledge.

Eligible candidates who are shortlisted will be informed about the selection process. The date, time and venue will be communicated through email or SMS. Candidates must attend the selection process at their own expense.

6. Save and print the computer-generated application form.

Step 2: Send the Signed Hard Copy

1. Affix a recent passport-size photograph to the printed application form.
2. Attach self-attested copies of all the required supporting documents.
3. Send the signed application and documents through Speed Post or courier to the address below.
4. Ensure that the hard copy reaches BMRCL by 4:00 PM on 05 November 2026.

Documents to Be Enclosed:

• Experience certificates relating to present and previous employment.
• PPO and Discharge Certificate issued by the competent authority, where applicable.
• Employment Certificate issued by the respective organization for serving personnel.
• Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Hospital.

Important: Applying online alone is not sufficient. Candidates must also send the signed hard copy of the application with the required documents. Applications without the hard copy and supporting documents will not be considered.
